| Super excited about what I *think* NKOTB have planned for 2013. A new album, and by the sounds of it a tour! According to Danny, he said he 'hopes' they'll be coming to the UK next year....so guessing they're working on an international tour *fingers crossed*!
Bring on 2013! | |

| honestly, I'm not hoping for much. The fact that this album seems bare bones, and they're using a producer that no one's really heard of and is fairly new at this doesn't really impress me.
I personally think this is a case of "put out an album and shut the fans up". It's not meant to impress anyone, it's not meant to be a chart topper. They've realized the diehards will buy anything they do, and they saw how everyone loved "Live It Up".
So if they do anything that's not fanservicey and that's actually GOOD...I'll be surprised.

| Hopefully 2013 will be more eventful than 2012, but if the songs on this supposed album sound anything like Live It Up, then I'm DONE. | |

| I have minimal hope too. Especially when Jordan says the Flickr of the album is "arena pop". That will be so disappointing IMO because since they AREN'T courting new fans or trying to make a splash beyond their existing fanbase, why not do music THEY like? More towards r&b... Honestly, I liked THE BLOCK. It felt more honest. I'm with you all... More hola mama and I'm done too. | |

| New single and tour dates this month. Album in march. If the album's any good I'd actually be tempted to venture across the pond for a show. Obviously you have to buy tickets for that before knowing if the album they're touring is complete shit or not v | |

That's rather backwards, isn't it? Announce tour dates to the die hards and stans first and THEN release the album? They're not even expecting it to go any further beyond their fanbase at this point, and it's sad to see. On the upside, at least they know their audience. They'll sell out their shows, sure. Because they'll get the same people buying 5 stars to all their concerts, and travelling all over to hit up 30 shows per tour.

| So the producer that has just done the new album has just come over to London to produce The Wanted's new album ..... after they came on stage with them at mixtape ... coincidence ?? or part of the big picture (or package) like BSB's performance at Radio City before joint tour ?? | |

| If I'm judging the whole new album by this REMIX shit they released, then I think I'll wait another 4 years and see if they can come up with something better next time. The Block was a solid album. Yuck. | |

| Come on, 1250 usd for one one one M&G? It's more than cruise. And did you see the scene? With barriers for not so luxury vips? And the greatest thing is that all crazy buffaloes (who buy anything no matter what) will seat in front of the guys Probably no 'remix-I-like-it girls' in a front row I'm boycotting this party this time. Truly pathetic. | |

| Been lurking here for a while because you guys always have the funniest (and often, sadly, the most honest) things to say. Finally feel like I should voice my agreement.
The current state of the group is extremely depressing and beyond pathetic. It was so cool when they first got (back) together and were writing new songs, being creative, seemed enthusiastic and put on good shows. Never saw them live but that's what lots of Youtube is for. Still, I got the gist of it. But now...WTF happened? Doesn't seem like the same guys that came out swinging just a few years ago. They have aged so much so fast and their attitude as a group has become shockingly awful. They've gone from being friendly and outgoing to being snobby little bitches who clearly don't GOF about anything anymore.
They aren't going for any kind of respectable creativity now; they're just selling out. The unofficial "single" releases have been cringeworthy and their performances have been getting worse and worse. I saw videos from 2009 and Donnie was actually hitting his notes. He's never been a great singer but he was at least sounding acceptable. Now...when he sings his parts in Single and songs like that, it sounds like a cat yowling, and I won't even go near "Cover Girl." Plus their management excels in making them look extra douchey with fiascos like that summer festival where they didn't even provide a full list of performing artists when the tickets went on sale...trying to sell out this tour before the album's even out...and so many more examples, I can't for my life understand how they're not embarrassed to just exist at this point. Obviously, the millions of dollars pouring in from desperate heifers and underage stalkers around the globe helps but they USED to have some integrity as entertainers, which is why it's extra sad to see them end up this way.
I think what depresses me the most is how bad this is making them look as individuals. Don't particularly care the others since they don't have much else going for them outside the group but Donnie can actually act and it's sad that he's cheapening himself by selling out and looking like a money-hungry, arrogant douchebag with NKOTB. It makes it much more difficult to see him on screen and respect him as an actor when he spends the other half of his time flirting with fatties who are paying 10k to get within 5 feet of him, while producing absolutely garbage "music" and apparently brushing off anyone who doesn't have the money or the hot looks to bother with.
Their reunion started out with so much promise and then...this. I get that most of them were self-entitled divas to begin with but I'm really surprised by Joe and Donnie, who actually seemed to care more about the music than the money at one point.

| No, nothing in particular. I was just flipping through channels and Blue Bloods was on, and then shortly after that some NKOT-BS about the "great new song" that we should all be so damn thrilled about popped up on my Facebook and it reminded me how far they've fallen and how badly it reflects on them personally. So I stopped by to see what people here were saying as of 2013 and yep...just how I feel, as usual!
I think what particularly bothers me is that they're not even trying anymore and they're not hiding it either. They know that the die-hard crazies will continue to buy their shit and pay a thousand dollars to see them and get a photo no matter how bad they sound or behave, so they don't even try to disguise it anymore. There's that crowd of BSC fans who are willing to go into debt following them all over the world regardless of how much they don't try, and fuck everyone else who wants more than a chance to touch Donnie's abs and tell Jordan how they want to marry him.
I think I finally felt inspired to chime in because the whole thing has now gone past the point of ridiculous amusement and has just become insulting and sad. Honestly. If this is the best they can or are willing to do at this point, they should bail now and let the door hit their asses on the way out.

| Oh and just saying, I'm not involved in any social media (loathe twitter, only use FB for real friends, don't read tabloids) so this discussion and what was previously on LSA is basically my one way of keeping up with the hilarious boyband drama, so keep the updates on the divas and their crazies coming!
I had hoped to catch them on their next tour but after hearing the new release and with their attitude not reassuring me, there is no way I'm paying to see them now. However, if nothing else, I do hope the new album and tour results in some form of high drama entertainment.
